Jayne Torres

For the past thirty years, Janelle has taught second, third, and fifth grade at numerous elementary schools. Janelle’s favorite subject to teach is reading. She loves to read out loud to her students and change her voice to fit the character. While dedicating her time to her students, she also married the love of her life, Arnold. Arnold and Jayne have four children, two boys and two girls and three dogs. Jayne also has two grandchildren and loves to spend as much time as she can with her family. After retiring Janelle missed her students and teaching so she decided to start volunteering at Jayne thinks it is important to volunteer because it is her way to give back to the community. When Jayne is not working with kids you can find her baking cookies in her kitchen, walking her dogs, or playing golf with her husband.

Kim Jones

Hello! I’m Kim Jones. My wonderful children, Teddy and Alexander are in school now, and they are my whole world. As den-mother (scout-mom), I’m in charge of Teddy’s cub scout den, and I’m happy to report they are all making headway toward the order of the arrow. We’re still planning this year’s camping trip, so let me know if your children are interested. In addition, I also organize the school’s book club. We meet Wednesdays after school and work to make sure students stay interested in reading fiction. Let me know if you want to sign up!

Pamela Wells

Hi there! My name is Pamela and I am one of the after school program coordinators. My job is to collaborate with my co-workers to create a variety of fun and educational after school activities for students of all ages. I love my job because it gives me a chance to work with other creative adults as well as some awesome kids! I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and have been working with children ever since. Before coming to work here, my experiences include teaching, running summer programs, and raising two kids of own. In my free time I love going for hikes, spending time with my family and playing with my two “furry children” Terry and Matt.
